Sea Room sells books and related products about the Age of Sail.		  
Current Objectives

When we promised ourselves to give our customers a simpler approach to buying books about the Age of Sail , we had no idea of the difficulty we had presented to ourselves.   First, over time our inventory has grown to over 1000 titles.  Compare that to the size of the  "Transportation" section at your average Barnes and Noble super store.  We had several objectives:

--No shipping charges for orders over $30.00. Done
--Continue to discount in-print book prices. Done
--Have books in inventory to ship quickly. Done
--Have a catalog on CD.
--Have limited edition books in inventory. Done
--Support such Series authors as Patrick O'Brian,   Alexander Kent, C. S. Forester, etc. Done

This turned out to be formidable task and I still have areas where the planning is incomplete.  So I've decided to begin by returning to a "blank screen" and rebuilding.  So we start with just the Sea-Room web page, the ordering form, and the basic Catalog.  Each passing day we'll add more lists, more topical arrangements, more information about our books, authors, and specials.

We have no "shopping basket" software.

Shipping Charges:

Books: None for orders over $40.00.  $4.00 for orders under $40.00

Prints: Shipped in tubes separately from other items. $10.00 priority mail and insurance.

Models: Shipped individually. $10.00 for priority mail and insurance.

CDs: None, if combined with book order. Otherwise,
$3.00  for any number.

Videos: None, if combined with book order. Otherwise, $3.00  for any number.

Bumper Stickers: None.

Outside the US:  Packing fee of $10.00 plus actual postage including insurance.  Choose Surface or Air Mail
