1. Geoff Hunt provided  publisher, W. W. Norton, with a painting of a scene from each of Patrick O'Brian's books that the publisher used on the cover of  the twenty Aubrey-Maturin  books.

2. Many, but not all, of these cover painters were published by Mystic Seaport as limited edition, signed and numbered lithographs, or more commonly, prints.*  (Geoff Hunt's many paintings have been published as lithographs by several publishers.  Sea-Room also sells imported Geoff Hunt lithographs.)

3. Several of the lithographs published have sold out.  But what does "sold out" mean?  It means Mystic Seaport has sold all its inventory of that lithograph and lists the lithograph  "SOLD OUT" on its webpage at http://www.mysticseaportart.com/geoffhunt.asp

4. However, some retailers, like Sea-Room, may have a quantity of unsold lithographs available in their local inventory.  The internet is an unreliable indicator of whether a particular lithograph is actually available since may retailers simply display all the lithographs or books listed in "books, or lithographs, in print" publications.  It always pay to call for availability.

5. In the listing below, we show when Mystic Seaport has "sold out" a particular lithograph and then indicate whether we have the lithograph and our price for the lithograph.   We would have no idea if other retailers have the lithograph available.

6.  We also may have #1 or single-digit copies of a particular lithograph.

Geoff Hunt lithographs are very popular and some owners may offer their lithographs for sale.  One may assume that such items have been framed but one should ask if the print is new, framed, and how it will be transported.  Sea-Room sells only new lithographs with Authenticity Certificates, un-framed, mailed in tubes.

The Otter, a ship-sloop, was a relatively small vessel with 18 guns. Beyond her are the larger frigates Boadicea, Sirius, and Nereide. Ionian Mission [POB Cover] [B00393] # by Geoff Hunt, [One left] H.M.S. Worcester, a 74 gun ship, is leading two of her sisterships blockading the French at Toulon. Aubrey was in command of the ship, under the authority of the squadron's Admiral. The fictitious H.M.S. Worcester represents the 40 boat "Armada" class of 1806, which were designed by committee and hurriedly built under the press of active hostility.
