As a robot, Scuttlebutt receives messages from individual members of the listserv and broadcasts them to each member subscribed to the robot's list.

To participate in this communication interchange, you must

first, subscribe to the Scuttlebutt list and second, send your messages intended for broadcasting to the robot.

To subscribe     Click here to subscribe."   Mailman will send you email which permits you to confirm your subscription.
When you have been confirmed a member, you may send messages.

In this age of spam-blockers you should also ensure your contact list contains scuttlebutt, skinny, and sea-room.

Tips for organizing Scuttlebutt.  

REPLY vrs. REPLY ALL		 Your email processor, e.g., Outlook Express, determines many of the characteristics of your messages but Scuttlebutt  has defaulted both REPLY and REPLY ALL  to be sent to scuttlebutt@lists.sea-room-plus.com.
NODUPS Prevents duplicate messages reaching you.
NOMETOO Prevents you from receiving copy of your own message
